Hall's Oxford Brewery

Late 18th century: The Swan's Nest Brewery, later the Swan Brewery, was established in Paradise Street

1795 The brewery was acquired by William Hall. The brewery became known as Hall's Oxford Brewery, which acquired other local breweries.

1896 The company was registered December 10, 1896, to take over the business of Messrs. Hall and Co.

1897 the property of Messrs. M. Weaving and Sons was acquired

1898 the business of Hanley and Co, Limited, was absorbed.

1925 A high proportion of the shares in Hall's Oxford Brewery (which had 318 tied houses in addition to the brewery in Oxford), were acquired by Samuel Allsopp and Sons after which Hall's ceased brewing in Oxford.

1926 All brewing had been stopped; the pubs were supplied from Burton[1]

1928 Sold the site of the City Brewery to Oxford Corporation; agreement had been reached on sale of the Swan Brewery[2]

1934 The 38th AGM of Hall's Oxford Brewery Co was held in London[3]
