Hall and Kay
Hall and Kay of Birch Mills, Stockport Road, Ashton-under-Lyne were producers of equipment for the cotton industry. Later became air conditioning and ventilation engineers.

1960 Acquired by Spark Holdings.[3],
1962 Acquired H. Cheetham and Co of Oldham, heating engineers.
1963 Acquired Electric House (1955) Ltd of Denton, Manchester, electrical contractors.[4] Hall and Kay would offer a full range of heating, air conditioning and ventilation services, and electrical equipment and wiring, to engineers, architects and surveyors.
1970 Won the largest contract in the company's 92 year history.[5]
1975 Acquired by Staveley Industries.[6]
By 1976 had changed its name to Kempergate when the receivers were appointed.[7]
