1954 Bio Note [1]

Mr. Jeffery received his technical education at Lincoln Technical College. He served an apprenticeship with Messrs. Clayton Wagons Limited, and during this period was engaged on Front Axle design, and on Jig and Tool work.

Later he joined Messrs. Clayton Dewandre and Co. Ltd., at Lincoln, and was engaged mainly on Vacuum and Air Power Braking Systems.

In 1949 he was appointed to the position of Brake Designer and subsequently, in 1953, he became Chief Designer at Messrs. Clayton Dewandre and Co. Ltd.
