1871 April 5th. Born at Bradford the son of Thomas Slingsby (1842-1918) and his wife Mary Ann Crowther (1846-1925)

1891 Living at 18 Spring Garden Road, Bradford: Thomas Slingsby (age 49 born Bradford), Reed Mechanic and Employer. With his wife Mary A. Slingsby (age 44 born Low Moor) and their six children; Arthur Slingsby (age 22 born Bradford); Bertha Slingsby (age 21 born Bradford); Harry C. Slingsby (age 20 born Bradford); Walter J. Slingsby (age 15 born Bradford); Thos E. Slingsby (age 13 born Bradford); and Lucy J. Slingsby (age 12 born Bradford).[1]
