1827 Married Sarah Saltmarsh at St Bride's, London[2]

1851 Coppersmith and engineer, living in Islington with Sarah Pontifex 50, Hy S Pontifex 23, brewer, Chas Pontifex 20, coppersmith and engineer, Sarah Pontifex 17, Frederick Pontifex 13, Harriott Pontifex 8[3]

1856 With Charles Pontifex carried on business as Coppersmiths and Back and Vat Manufacturers, in Shoe lane, in the city of London.[4]

1861 Coppersmith etc.[5]

1862 The partnership of Henry Daniel Pontifex and Charles Pontifex, coppersmiths of Shoe Lane, was dissolved[6] [7]
