Henry Douglas Delves Walthall was born in 1880 and after undergoing an Engineering course at Cambridge University was apprenticed at the Crewe works of the London and North Western Railway.
At the completion of his apprenticeship he established a garage business at Colwyn Bay, and this he managed for a period of eight years.
He then became Assistant to the Managing Director of Sunbeam, for a year until the outbreak of the war, when he joined the M.T., R.A.S.C., and served throughout the war with the rank of Captain.
Since the war he had been engaged chiefly in the accessory business. He died on March 21st, 1931, following an operation.
He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1909 and was transferred to Membership in 1920.
