1869 Patent. '1670. And John Hauworth, Manager, and Henry Horsfall, Draughtsman, both in the employ of Messieurs Fielden, Brothers, of Todmorden, in the county of Lancaster, have given the like notice in respect of the invention of "certain improvements in furnaces for steam boilers and other purposes."'[1]
