1910 Obituary [1]

HENRY JOLL, born at Stoke, Devonport, on the 4th January, 1845, died at Plymouth on the 15th April, 1910.

He joined the Public Works service of India in 1867, and after it varied experience of 25 years on roads, bridges, canals and other works, he retired with the rank of superintending engineer in March, 1892, on account of failing health.

Mr. Joll was elected an Associate of The Institution on the 1st March, 1870, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 27th March, 1877.
