Royal Shrewsbury School, and Royal School of Mines. 5 years at Dowlais Collieries, Dowlais Iron Co.; 4 years Manager of the largest new Colliery—Dowlais, Cardiff Colliery: on amalgamation of Collieries under Guest, Keen and Nettlefold, appointed Deputy Agent for the Dowlais Group and Acting Gen. Manager, 1907-8; appointed Cons. Min. Engr. to H. Eckstein and Co. (now The Central Min. and Investment Corporation, Ltd.), Johannesburg, Transvaal, 1908; responsible for the present modern Lay-out of the Modderfontein B. and New Modderfontein Gold Mines, Johannesburg, and other companies, Coal and Gold.
