Mr. Herbert T. Musgrave, head of the firm of Musgrave Bros., hydraulic engineers, Crown Point Foundry, Leeds, died at his home, Moorland, Burley-in-Wharfedale on Thursday.
The firm of Musgrave Bros. was founded by Mr. Musgrave and his elder brother, the late Mr. John R. Musgrave, who lived at Pool-in-Wharfedale.
Mr. Musgrave took an interest in public affairs at Burley, where had lived for upwards of 30 years. He was elected to the Burley Urban Council in 1925, and after serving a term of three years he was re-elected and appointed Chairman of the Finance Committee. He was made Chairman of the Council this year. His other activities included the chairmanship of the Burley Joint Hospital Fund.
Mr. Musgrave was the youngest son the late Mr. Peter William Musgrave of Otley, who, in his day, was a prominent figure in the Bradford wool trade.
