1896 Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, the son of Oscar Jacob Konrad Serck and his wife Olga Ulrikke Serck geb Smith. Brother of Peter Oscar Serck,

1929 Herman Oscar Serck set up a business in Manchester to manufacture and service radiators - presumably H. O. Serck.

1932 Married at Bury to Mary Elizabeth Coulthard. One son and one daughter.

1932 Naturalised. 'Serck, Herman Oscar; Norway; Radiator Manufacturer; 261, Ryebank Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. 5 May, 1932'[1]

1939 Living at Gate House, Woodhill Road, Bury, Manufacturer of Radiators for Combustion Engines. With Mary Serck.[2]

1964 Herman Oscar retired.
