1901 'In the Guildhall Justice Room (London), yesterday afternoon, Charles Frederick Matusch, managing director of tho Griffin Manufacturing Company (Limited), London, and Richard Harvey, of Ivy Cottage, Stockton Brooke, Stoke-on-Trent, managing director of the Hertford Engineering Company (Limited), of Derby and Ware, were further examined upon charges of conspiring together to defraud numerous large engineering and manufacturing companies in London, Birmingham, Derby, Liverpool, other provincial towns.'[1]
