1965 Hinkley Point A started generation
There were six main turbine generators, each rated at 93.5 MW. there were also three variable frequency turbine generators rated at approximately 30 MW, which supplied power to drive the reactors' gas circulators. The English Electric Co supplied the turbine generators, gas circulators, and the five Essential Diesel Generators.
2000 The A station stopped generating having completed 35 years of operation, generating a total of 103 TWh.
