1880 Partnership dissolved and divided. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Joseph Halden and Alexander George Thornton, carrying on business as Wholesale Drawing Material Importers, at Bridgewater-chambers, Albert square, and No. 109, Deansgate, both in Manchester, in the county of Lancaster, under the style of Holden and Thornton, has been dissolved, by mutual consent, as on and from the 4th day of May, 1880. All debts owing by the said partnership concern will be paid by the said Joseph Halden. The business at Bridgewater-chambers, Albert-square, will in future be carried on by the said Joseph Halden on his own account, and the business at No. 109 Deansgate by the said Alexander George Thornton on his own account....'[1]
