1914 Established as a grass airfield for military use.

1919 Customs unit established

1919 the first scheduled daily international commercial air services started at Hounslow Heath by Aircraft Transport and Travel

1920 27 March: The last commercial flights took place; the Aircraft Transport and Travel company moved its operations to Croydon Airport which became the approved airport serving London. The army then repossessed the land for use as a repair depot and training school.
