1911 Henry Howard Humphreys took one of his sons, Mr. C. L. Howard Humphreys, into the partnership; another son Howard Cecil Humphreys started his apprenticeship.

1918 Humphrey's second son, Mr. G. Howard Humphreys, joined the firm.

1982 Howard Humphreys and Partners was admitted to the partnership of Howard Humphreys and Sons; the ultimate owners were Brancaster Investments[1]

By 1986 the ultimate owners were Mitchell Cotts plc[2]

1987 Sold to Brown and Root[3]

1989 Re-registered as Limited company

by 1994 was a subsidiary of Brown and Root Ltd, a subsidiary of Halliburton Corporation
