1911 Obituary [1]

HOWARD UNWIN, born in London on the 13th August, 1837, died at Monaco on the 26th February, 1911.

Trained under the late Mr. John Wright, he was engaged for 7 years on railway and other work in Wales; 12 years, from 1868 to 1879, in the service of the Indian Public Works Department, engaged on irrigation, canal and famine relief works; and 20 years, from 1883 to 1903, as Managing Director of the Shrewsbury and Talbot Noiseless Tyre Company.

He was a Justice of the Peace for Middlesex.

Mr. Unwin was elected an Associate of The Institution on the 5th December, 1865, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 19th December, 1876.
