1901 'A New FIRM IN TROUBLE. Messrs Hughes, Fawcett, & Co., successors to F. and H. Shaw, Limited, Hangingroyd, Hebden Bridge, were summoned by the factory inspector, Mr. Garvie, for starting a factory without giving the inspector notice. ....'[1]

1909 'BUSINESS CHANGE.— The business of Messrs. Hughes, Fawcett and Co , Valley Iron Works. has been purchased by Messrs. Ormerod Bros., who will carry the same on in future.'[2]
