Ibicui Bridge

This entry refers to the railway bridge over the Ibicuí River in Brazil, constructed in 1887. It is now used as a single track road bridge.
1887 Description and drawings of the 'Ibicuy Bridge', built by Head, Wrightson and Co for the Brazil Southern Railway. Total length 3953 ft (approx. 3/4 mile). The approach viaduct had 60 plate girder spans of 15m each, and four 'Whipple-Murphy' spans of 70m each. Designer: Alfred Rumball.[1]
