From Graces Guide

1882 a Provisional Order was granted to the Incandescent Electric Lighting Co for lighting an area of Birmingham.

The engineers for this company were Rookes Evelyn Bell Crompton and Mr. Henry Lea.

1886 As the company had not fulfilled the obligations required by the Provisional Order, the Order was cancelled by the Board of Trade.
