Incandescent Electric Lighting Co
1882 a Provisional Order was granted to the Incandescent Electric Lighting Co for lighting an area of Birmingham.
The engineers for this company were Rookes Evelyn Bell Crompton and Mr. Henry Lea.
They installed a small generating plant in the neighbourhood of Paradise Street, from which the Town Hall and a few adjoining shops were lighted.
1886 As the company had not fulfilled the obligations required by the Provisional Order, the Order was cancelled by the Board of Trade.
