- 1862 Fenton Park Iron Works, Staffordshire
- 1863 Moss End Iron Works, near Glasgow: five boilers blew up, 9 died
- 1876 Springfield Paper Mill, Reddish
- 1887 New British Iron Co, Cradley Heath: furnace explosion
- 1895 Warrenby Iron Works, Redcar [1][2][3][4][5][6]
- 1895 Beestones Mill, Stainland, Halifax. Boiler explosion. (5 died) [7][8]
- 1896 Springfield Paper Works, Bolton, owned by J. W. Marshall and Co. bursting of a revolving rag boiler or kier[9]
- 1896 William Sutcliffe and Co, Hebden Bridge, dyers. Explosion of a logwood still. Three died.[10]
- 1898 Southern and Richardson, Sheffield. Boiler explosion - (7 died)
- 1915 Apr 02nd. Explosives Loading Co - (109 died) (aka Faversham Gunpowder Mill)
- 1916 Aug 21st. Low Moor Explosion - (40 died)
- 1917 Jan 19th. Silvertown Explosion - (73 died)
- 1941 Oct 31st. H. Booth and Son - (49 died)
- 1957 Oct 10th. Windscale Fire - (c.200 died)
