The whole of the very valuable and extensive MACHINERY, new PLANING MACHINE, durable PATTERNS, superior SHOP and other FIXTURES, GAS-FITTINGS, and the remaining MISCELLANEOUS EFFECTS, upon the premises above; comprising extremely desirable 10-horse power high-pressure Steam Engine, with boiler, &c. complete (equal to new), by Shelton; a very valuable and quite new Planing Machine, by Whitworth and Co. of Manchester, complete; expensive Self-acting Machine for straightening, cutting, and pointing wire: ten Drilling, Countersinking, and Turning Lathes, with wood and iron beds, worked by engine power, and embracing an immense quantity of gearing, machinery, and leather bands, the whole manufactured in the best and finished in the most complete and satisfactory manner; two strong iron Scouring Barrels, with driving wheels, &c.; iron Fan and Troughs; .... also about two tons unfinished Hinges, several gross of finished Butts, three bundles of small Steel Wire, six very line Brass Sieves, ...'[1]
