Mr J. H. Haiste (Member) died on 20th January.

Mr Haiste founded the firm of John H. Haiste and Partners in 1920 dealing mainly with water supply and sewerage schemes.

During the 1939-45 war he was a Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Home Security and a Regional Engineer in the Ministry of Health.

It was in 1956 that he retired from partnership in his firm but he continued to serve them in a consultative capacity.
