Trinity Coll., Harrogate; University of Durham; Armstrong Coll., Newcastle-on-Tyne. Career: Graving Dock for the Wallsend Slipway Co., on the Tyne; Graving Docks South Shields, Blyth, Bilbao; Engr.-in-Charge of Section No. I of the Admiralty Harbour Works, Dover, under Coode, Son and Matthews, Westminster. Various Works: Wharves, River Walls, Sheds, Warehouses, Shipbuilding Berths, Fitting Out Jetties, Dock Gates and Caissons, Piers, etc., at Dundee. Joint Author on " Suction or Interaction Between Passing Vessels," and numerous papers.
