1963 Obituary[1]

"WE record with regret the death of MR. J. M. WALKER, joint founder and chairman of the Cheltenham firm of Walker, Crosweller and Co. Ltd., who died at his home at 224, London Road, Charlton Kings on Thursday, November 21. He was eighty-five. Mr. Walker had been chairman of Walker Crosweller since the company's formation in 1930.

He founded it with the late Mr. W. W. Crosweller in London in 1922. Need for expansion prompted the move to Cheltenham in 1936 and the Walker Crosweller factory was the first to be built within the borough boundary."
