1868 Established by Colonel Sir John Roper Parkington, who was joined in partnership by Harry Bennett and Charles Cary-Elwes.

1924 Colonel Parkington died at the age of 80.[1] The business was incorporated as a private company on 28th March as J. R. Parkington and Company Limited.[2]

At some point the company became part of the Pernod Group, later Pernod Ricard.

1996 The company was dissolved.
