Joseph Walter Higgs, later Joseph Walter Higgs-Walker, chain maker, of J. G. Walker and Son

c1861 Joseph Walter Higgs was born in Netherton[1], son of Thomas Frederic Higgs, general practitioner, and Helena G Higgs (nee Walker)[2], daughter of Joseph Griffin Walker (1803-1864), nail and iron merchant.

1871 Jos. G Walter Higgs 10, was living with his uncle Henry Griffin Walker, 35, bank clerk, in Dudley and Elizth Griffin Walker 38, Harry Walker, 4, Edith Mary Walker, 3, Josh Griffin Walker 1[3]

1881 J.W. Higgs 20, was living with his uncle William G. Walker 42, merchant in Dudley, with Alice Walker 35[4]

1891 Joseph W Higgs 30, nail and chain manufacturer, employer, was living with his brother W H Walker Higgs 28, nail and chain manufacturer, employer[5]

1904 Joseph Walker Higgs-Walker J.P. lived in Kingswinford, Dudley[6]
