1908 Established by John Wade Lofthouse.

1919 J. Wade Lofthouse and Co Limited was registered as a private company, with capital of £30,000, to acquire the business of that name at Walotan Leather Works, Long Eaton and to carry on the business of hide and leather merchants, leather manufacturers, splitters, rollers, and cutters, wholesale and retail manufacturers of and dealers in boots and shoes.[1]

1923 The premises at Long Eaton were offered for sale by auction.[2] The company was finally struck off and dissolved in 1931[3]
