Joseph Walwyn White (1861-1957) of Richard White and Sons

1861 Born in Widnes the son of Richard White.

1871 Living at 100 Mersey Road, Widnes: Richard White (age 35 born Painswick, Glos.), Manager of Limestone Mill. With his wife Elizabeth White (age 29 born Yorkshire) and their five children; Joseph W. White (age 9 born Widnes); Selina White (age 7 born Widnes); Herbert White (age 4 born Widnes); Florence A. White (age 3 born Widnes); and Frank E. White (age 4 Months born Widnes). One servant.[1]

Educated at Weston School, Bath.

Trained at his father's works. Partner for thirty years in the engineering firm of Richard White and Sons.

1911 Living at Strathdene, Hillfoot Road, Woolton: Joseph Walwyn White (age 50 born Widnes), Engineer - Owner Of Engineering Works making Railway Plant - Employer. With his wife Annie Mary Mackenzie White (age 40 born Birmingham), Two servants.[2]
