1912 J. and R. Houston and Kerr Limited, Upper Ingleston, Greenock, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £5,000, to acquire the ironfounding and engineering business carried on at the Cartsburn Foundry, Upper Ingleston.[1]

1922 Directors: D. Kerr, J. M. Kerr and John Kerr. Specialities.— Sugar machinery.

1938 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]
