1950 JAGUAR MARK V SALOON AND DROPHEAD COUPE
The Jaguar Saloon is a pleasing car of flowing lines and has the distinction of having been selected by a national visual education body as an outstanding example of good design — a compliment indeed.
The 3.5-litre Mark V model is a typically British product and combines a high maximum speed with armchair luxury for the passengers. The road-holding qualities are also extremely good and remain so over all conditions of loading.
There is a drophead coupe version of the Mark V and both cars are excellent value as their basic price is below £1,000, so incurring purchase tax at the single rate only.
