Came to London in 1828 and became a partner in James Thomson and Co.

His son was Kenneth S. Anderson.

Retired in 1880. [1]

1897 September 3rd. Death of James Anderson of Frognal Park, Hampstead 'one of the oldest members of the shipping trade in London'.
