1887 Patent sealed, 11 May: James Barker, of Warrington, for improvements in apparatus for moulding pipes, columns, and cylinders.[1]

Born c.1825, son of Thomas Barker, Engineer.

1851 Married Elizabeth Howard, daughter of a smith, of 5 Humphrey Street, Manchester, in Manchester Cathedral. James Barker was described as an engineer, and lived at 74 Davies Street, Salford.
