1888 THE estates of James Bennie, Junior, Engineer, Clyde Engine Works, Polmadie, near Glasgow, in the county of Renfrew, carrying on business there, under the firm of James Bennie and Company, Engineers, of which firm he is the sole Partner, and residing at Ravens wood, Crossbill, near Glasgow, in the county of Renfrew, were sequestrated on 5th January, 1888, by the Sheriff of Renfrew and Bute, at Paisley[10]
By 1891 James had died as his wife was recorded as head of the household[11]
