JAMES EDWARD MARLEY died on October 5, 1910, at the age of sixty-four. He was connected with the firm of Sproat, Marley & Co., Ltd., iron and steel founders, Hebburn, County Durham, which be established in co-operation with the late Mr. T. Sproat in 1870.

He was a member of the British Foundrymen's Association, and was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1885.
