1880 Engineer M.I. Mech. E. and Assoc. M. Inst. C.E., of Parkgate, Rotherham. [1], stood for admission to the Iron and Steel Institute

1888 of Manchester, offered a paper on continuous moulding machinery in use in France but the presentation to the Iron and Steel Institute was held over to the Edinburgh meeting because of problems with the paper.[2]
