1893 James Johnstone Limited was incorporated, with capital of £10,000, to acquire the Dean Distillery.[1]

1902 The company went into voluntary liquidation in 1902 and was dissolved in 1905.

1908 The premises were taken over by the Dean Distillery Company, which was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £10,000, in 1908.[2]
