1822 Birth of son Thomas Mann

1828 Death of his wife. 'On Thursday last, at the Albion Brewery, Whitechapel, Mary Ann, the wife of Mr. James Mann, and youngest daughter of Philip Blake, Gent, late of Shimpling, Norfolk.'[1]

1841 Residing at Camle Road, Bethnal Green: James Mann (age c.64), Brewer. With Edward Mann (age c.21), Brewer.[2]

1845 Death of son. 'Nov. 7, aged 26, after a short illness, Mr. Edward Mann second son of Mr. James Mann, of the Albion Brewery, Mile End-road.[3]

1845 November 30th. Died. '30th ult., in his 7Oth year, Mr. James Mann, of the Albion Brewery, Mile End, London, universally respected and deeply lamented.'[4]

1846 Will of James Mann of the Albion Brewery, Mile End Road, Brewer. Sons James Mann and Edward Mann.
