James Shortland and Co Ltd. nail and tack manufacturers, of 49 Park Street, Wishaw.

1909 The firm of J. Shortland and Company was dissolved as at 31st May, by mutual consent, by the retiral therefrom of Thomas Morris. The business was to be carried on by James Shortland, on his own account, under the firm's existing name.[1]

1920 James Shortland and Company Limited was incorporated as a private limited company, with capital of £15,000, to acquire and carry on the business of that name.[2]

1923 Application to extend their works.[3]

1981 The business went into voluntary liquidation.[4]
