1901 James W McRobert 32, secretary to limited company, lived in Whitley, Tynemouth with Elizabeth J McRobert 27, Leslie H McRobert 2, Athol H McRobert 1[2]

1903 Secretary of Cerebos.[3]

1938 Died. 'Hartlepool Magistrate and Company Director Mr. James William McRobert, a West Hartlepool magistrate, collapsed and died from a heart attack in London on Wednesday night. He was 70. Until a few years ago, when retired and went to live London, led active commercial life the North England. He was the first secretary of Cerebos, Ltd., and at the time of his death was director of Cerebos, the North of England Match Co., Ltd., and J. T. Medd. Ltd., produce merchants, West Hartlepool. On his retirement from business life he had the leisure pursue early ambition and to study law. He was a qualified barrister, but never practised. He was formerly chairman of the governors of the Cameron Hospital, West Hartlepool, and president of West Hartlepool Rotary Club He has left widow, one daughter and two sons.'[4]
