1873 Born in Sweden

1892 Educated at Royal Polytechnic School in Stockholm

1895 Joined a company in Finland as a draftsman

1897 Draftsman/designer with Escher Wyss and Co and Th. Bell and Co of Switzerland

1900-3 Established a new water turbine factory in Sweden

1903 Returned to Escher Wyss

1905 Appointed agent in London where he arranged for manufacture of turbines in England

1908 Joined I Mech E; by this time he had been responsible for the design of c.80 hydro-electric stations and 15 power installations making wood pulp[1]

1909 Member of I Mech E

1911 Living in Wimbledon with his wife Hilma Orten Boving (30) and daughter Muriel Orten Boving (1)[2]

1925 Managing Director of Hydrautomat Ltd.
