1924 Died. 'The funeral took place at Burley-in-Wharfedale yesterday of Mr. Jeremiah Whitaker, of Esscroft, who was wellknown in West Riding business circles. A native of Halifax, and a member of the well-known Whitaker family brewers, and his brother, David, founded the Newlay Dye Works an extensive concern between Bradford, which was subsequently merged into the Bradford Dyers Assocition.'[1]
