1782 Born the son of James Bateman

1810 May 29th. Married Elizabeth Holt at Bury in Lancashire. She was born at Bury in 1782, the daughter of William Holt of Redivals in Lancashire

1851 Living at Knypersley Hall, Biddulph, Staffs: John Bateman (age 68 born Manchester), Landed proprietor. With his wife Elizabeth Bateman (age 68 born Bury). Seven servants.[1]

1858 August 17th. Died age 76. Of Knypersley Hall, Staffs, and Tolson Hall, Westmoreland.[2]

Probate to his son James Bateman.
