'...an indenture of assignment, bearing date the 28th day of January last, John Bingley, of Leeds, in the county of York, Iron Founder and Engine Maker, assigned all his estate and effects unto Charles Josephus Smith, of Leeds aforesaid, Civil Engineer, and William Fieldhouse, of the same place, Ironmonger, for the benefit of the creditors of the said John Bingley who should execute the same within the time therein mentioned...'[1]
