1910 Died. 'We regret to record the death of Mr. John Brunt of The Oaks, Trentham, the sad event taking place on Thursday. Mr. Brunt was born at Penkhull some fifty three years ago. In early life he saw service under the North Staffordshire Railway Company. Later he Joined the late Mr. Peter Wagstaffe, of Longton, in partnership, the two carrying on the business of china and earthenware merchants under the style and title of Messrs. Wagstifffe and Brunt. The deceased gentleman also had an interest in the printing firm of Messrs. Wood, Mitchell, and Company, Limited, of which firm, indeed, he was chairman of directors and he was also connected with a firm of hay and straw merchants at Stoke...'[1]
