1846 Insolvent 'John Byrne, formerly of No. 19, Charles-street, Middlesex-hospital, Middlesex, and also of Grove-cottage, Putney, Surrey, Land Surveyor, Civil Engineer, and Teacher of Mathematics, in partnership with Henry William Hull, and carrying on business under the style of Hull and Byrne, at No. 19, Charles-street aforesaid, as Land Surveyors, Civil Engineers, and Teachers of Mathematics, then of the city of Washington, North America, then of No. 14, Upper Wharton-street, Pentonville, Middlesex, then of Aspley Guise, near Woburn, Bedfordshire, then of Tipper Wharton-street aforesaid, then lodging at the Catherine Wheel Hotel, Henley-upon-Thames, Oxfordshire, then of No. 14, Thornhill Bridge-place, Chalk-road, Islington, and occasionally residing at Mornington-road, Regent's-park, both in Middlesex, then and late of No. 14, Thornhill Bridge-place aforesaid, Land Surveyor, Civil Engineer, and Mathematical Teacher.'[2]
