1933 Obituary [1]

JOHN DAVISON died at his home at Barrow-in-Furness on Saturday, October 7, at the age of sixty.

He commenced his business career at Consett, his native town; later he was appointed commercial manager of the Lanarkshire Steel Co., Ltd., of Motherwell.

Some years ago he was appointed joint secretary of the Barrow Hematite Steel Co., Ltd., in the London office, and two years ago, on the retirement of Mr. A. Frank Mason, was appointed general manager at Barrow; later he became a director. He was a member of the National Committee set up to deal with the re-organisation of the iron and steel industry.

Mr. Davison joined the Iron and Steel Institute in 1909.
