Born the son of John Lightfoot and his wife Ann Orme

1891 Living at Quarry Hill House, Rough Lee Road, Accrington: John Emmanuel Lightfoot (age 88 born Gisburn), Retired Calico printer and widow. With his widowed daughter and two grandsons.[1]

1893 Died. 'Mr John Emmanuel Lightfoot died at Accrington yesterday. Born in 1802, Mr Lightfoot was nearly 91 years of age. He was the first Mayor of Accrington, holding the office for three years in succession.'[2]
