John Fisher (c1850-1941) of J. and H. Fisher

1941 Died. 'Mr. John Fisher, who was a member of the Bradford Wool Exchange for over 56 years when actively in business, has died at his home at Felliscliffe, near Harrogate. He was aged 91. Mr. Fisher was a governing director of J. and H. Fisher, Ltd., worsted spinners, Union Mills. Idle, with which is associated the firm of John Mitchell (Keighley). Ltd. His connection with worsted spinning dated back to 1887, when he became a partner in a firm at Cullingworth. In 1889 he began business on his own account at Bradford, and ten years later he took the firm's present premises at Idle.'[1]
