John Garrington (c1799-1877), founder of John Garrington and Sons
1799 May 18th. Born in Darlaston the son of David garrington and his wife Hannah Brindley
1820 Married at Wolverhampton to Ann Wilkes
1851 Living at Green, Darlaston: John Garrington (age 52 born Darlaston), Stamper employing 3 men. With his wife Ann Garrington (age 49 born Darlaston) and their four children; Adelaide Garrington (age 19 born Darlaston); Fanny Garrington (age 16 born Darlaston); Richard Garrington (age 14 born Darlaston); and Benjamin Garrington (age 12 born Darlaston). Also two apprentices Charles Tuffield (age 15 born Tamworth) and John Camp (age 14 born Tamworth).[1]
1877 March 14th. Died. Of Darlaston, a Stamper. Probate to his two sons Richard and Benjamin.
